Quickstart

This quickstart has one finish line: place your first AI partner in the workspace and verify it with a small task that can be sent back for revision. Do not begin with a full team or hand over payments, deletion, mass messaging, or public publishing in the first round.

Before you start

• Use a supported macOS or Windows device and the installer currently offered on the official download page.
• Prepare a working model configuration. The summon flow will stop and ask you to configure one if no model is available.
• Choose a task you can review in minutes and safely return for revision, such as organizing meeting notes or grouping a few feedback items.

1. Install MotiClaw and finish first-time setup

1. Open the official download page and choose the installer for your device. Public builds cover macOS Apple Silicon, macOS Intel, and Windows x64, with the Windows build also supporting ARM64 devices through compatibility.
2. Follow the system installer and sign in. If macOS blocks the first launch, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and allow the app.
3. Open Get Started, choose an AI partner runtime, complete its installation, then add or select a working model.

2. Summon your first partner from AI Partner Market

1. Open AI Partner Market from the sidebar and choose one role for the task you want to finish. Do not choose by quantity.
2. Open its details and review the partner persona, skills, and scheduled jobs it brings in, then select Summon Agent.
3. Confirm the runtime, model, knowledge-base location, and required capabilities. Enable only scheduled jobs you understand and plan to review.
4. Select Confirm Summon. This step is complete only when you see Summon Successful and the placement result. If it stops, follow the missing-configuration prompt before trying again.

3. Connect only the channels you need

1. After a successful summon, choose Continue to Channels, or return to the AI Partners page and open this partner's channel settings.
2. Connect only the channel required for this task, such as Feishu or WeChat. The first round does not need every channel.
3. Complete the channel authorization, then send a test message that cannot affect live work and confirm the partner receives it and returns a result.

4. Complete the first acceptance check

1. Return to AI Partners and confirm the new partner appears with the role, runtime status, and channels you selected.
2. Hand over the small task you prepared, with an output shape and a stopping point. For example: “Group these six feedback items into issues, requests, and questions. Put uncertain items under Needs Review and do not send replies for me.”
3. Check that the result is complete, traceable to the source material, easy to decide on, and stopped before any action that needs your approval.

Your first AI partner is ready when the same input produces something you can review in minutes without crossing the human approval point. Use fresh input for the next round before adding more partners.

Troubleshooting

• Summon is unavailable: return to Get Started, confirm that a runtime is installed, and select a working model in model settings.
• Summoning did not finish: keep the failure message, complete the capability or knowledge-base setup it identifies, and retry. Do not copy partner folders manually.
• The channel does not receive the test: confirm authorization, verify the target group or conversation, then review channel status on the partner page.
• The result is long but hard to review: shrink the task to one classification, draft, or checklist, and send missing information to Needs Review.

Data boundary and next steps
