Why We Insist on Local-First: How MotiClaw Draws the Data Boundary

The biggest worry about handing work to AI is rarely "will it do a good job" - it is "where did my stuff go". Client lists, quotes, unreleased plans: once they enter a third-party server you do not control, the risk is no longer yours to decide. MotiClaw's answer: everything stays local by default.

What stays on your device

What goes over the network

Only two kinds of requests leave your machine: channels you explicitly connect (such as Feishu messaging), and model inference itself. Model calls send only the context needed for the current task - never a bulk upload of your library. You can also plug in your own model gateway to tighten the boundary further.

If you prefer not to configure models yourself, use MotiClaw's hosted models: Free includes base 5-hour and weekly limits, and Plus and Pro subscriptions raise both windows monthly. Billing only ever happens at the model-call layer - storing your data is always free and local.
